On Thursday, January 9, 2025, I gave this lecture at St. Jerome’s College of the University of Waterloo about “Being a Muslim Theologian Teaching at a Catholic University”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From March 3 to 6, 2022, I was the Kenosha Interfaith Scholar in Residence<\/a>, giving a series of talks at Carthage College and local religious institutions in Kenosha, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

I am the co-editor of the new fourth edition (2019) of the OUP textbook A Concise Introduction to World Religions<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

From May 18 to June 22, I taught an online course in Reel Spirituality<\/a> for the Naramata Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On September 19, 2019, I was interviewed by NPR in Tulsa, Oklahoma, about American Muslims<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On September 20, 2019, I was interviewed on ABC News<\/a> in Tulsa about American Muslims prior to a talk I gave at the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, OK as part of their exhibition on Islamic art<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am the co-editor of the new 5th<\/sup> editions (2018) of the OUP textbooks, World Religions: Eastern Traditions<\/em><\/a> and World Religions: Western Traditions<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On September 21, 2018, I was part of this conference<\/a> at Harvard Divinity School on Religious Literacy and Media.<\/p>\n

In Fall 2016, I was on a fellowship to the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of Southern California<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2016, I published Muslims and the Making of America<\/a><\/i> with Baylor University Press. <\/span><\/p>\n

I did an interview on the Tavis Smiley Show about the book which is available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I did an interview with KPCC radio in Pasadena about the book which is available here<\/a>.
