Series of twenty-one signed travelogue articles and original photographs reporting on a trip to Europe as a member of the “Heart of America Troop” of Boy Scouts of America visiting the World Jamboree of Boy Scouts at Birkenhead, England, and other places. Kansas City Journal-Post<\/i> 10 July – 8 Sept. 1929.<\/p>\n

1931<\/strong><\/p>\n

A large number of news articles, feature articles, and editorials, with or without by-line or signature, in the Annuciator<\/i>, a publication issued about every two months, but irregularly, in the interests of Annunciation Parish, Kansas City, MO, from its beginning in about Oct. 1931, to its discontinuance in about Feb. 1934. Most pieces written by Ong, though some occasional articles by Ong’s brother, Richard Mense Ong. Ong was publisher, business manager, and editor of the Annunciator<\/i>. The pastor of Annunciation Parish was Rev. Matthew D. Tierney. The Annunciator<\/i> was distributed free to parishoners at Sunday Mass and supported itself by advertisements sold by the business manager, to whom it provided a small income after publication costs were paid.<\/p>\n
